New Horizons stopt voorlopig activiteiten in Nederland

Eindhoven, 8 april 2013 - De franchise-organisatie New Horizons stopt vanaf heden voorlopig met al haar activiteiten in Nederland. Het ICT-opleidingsinstituut mist op dit moment voldoende financiële basis om door te gaan. Ondanks verbetering in de bedrijfsvoering zorgt de huidige economische situatie voor onvoldoende omzet op de korte termijn om de onderneming aan alle financiële verplichtingen te laten voldoen. New Horizons probeert een doorstart te maken met mogelijk nieuwe investeerders en doet er alles aan om tot een bevredigende oplossing te komen voor haar cursisten, klanten en medewerkers.

Ron Goedhart, Managing Director New Horizons: “Met alle medewerkers hebben we er alles aan gedaan om de financiële lasten weg te werken om een structureel gezonde organisatie neer te zetten. Daarbij hebben we flinke stappen gezet. Helaas is dat op dit moment niet voldoende en kunnen wij niet meer de kwaliteit garanderen van de ICT-opleidingen voor onze klanten. Wij hebben daarbij duidelijk ook last van huidige economische situatie, die ertoe leidt dat ook in onze sector de resultaten tegenvallen door bezuinigingen bij bestaande en potentiële klanten. Wij blijven geloven in de unieke formule van New Horizons en werken aan een oplossing voor onze cursisten, klanten en medewerkers”.
Op dit moment beraadt New Horizons zich over de ontstane situatie. Hoe lang deze situatie zal aanhouden, is op dit moment nog niet te zeggen.

Grootste onafhankelijke opleidingsinstituut
New Horizons is ‘s werelds grootste onafhankelijke opleidingsinstituut. Opgericht in 1982 telt New Horizons nu, wereldwijd, ruim 300 centra verspreid over 60 landen. In Nederland heeft New Horizons o.a. vestigingen in Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Amsterdam en Utrecht. Momenteel telt de Nederlandse organisatie 30 medewerkers.

New Horizons stops its activities in the Netherlands for the time being

Eindhoven, April 8, 2013 - The New Horizons franchise organization stops its activities in the Netherlands for the time being as of today. Our ICT training institute lacks sufficient financial base to continue. Despite operating improvements, the current negative economic situation and insufficient revenues in the short term, are not sufficient to meet all financial obligations. New Horizons is trying to make a restart with new investors in order to come to a satisfactory solution for its students, clients and employees.

Ron Goedhart, Managing Director New Horizons: “With all employees, we have done everything to resolve the financial burden and build a structurally sound organization. We have made significant improvements in the last months. Unfortunately it is not enough and we can not guarantee the quality of our ICT training at this time for our customers any longer. We also clearly suffer from current economic situation. This results in decline of training budgets of existing and potential customers. We continue to believe in the unique formula of New Horizons and we will do our utmost to come with a solution for our students, customers and employees."

At this time, New Horizons is considering how to coop with the current situation. How long this situation will continue, is not clear at the moment.
